COMMUNITY BASED HEALT PROGRAMS
From its sufficiency, YIS has made public health programs and improved nutrition as an entry in an attempt to empower the community. Today the program is designed to empower local institutions, such as Tim Kesehatan Desa (village health teams), Posyandu (integrated health), dan Puskesmas (health center) to be able to recognize problems related to public health and be able to find the solution. YIS ever and are doing this program in the Banjarnegara, Boyolali, Surakarta (Central Java), and Polewali Mandar (Sulbar).
COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
This program aims to assist community of weak economic groups which usually do not have adequate access of public services and banking services. The approach carried out by utilization groups (CBO - a community based organization), with activities to increase knowledge and business skills, including network marketing and working capital loan facility. Programs conducted in the ex Surakarta residency.
REINFORCEMENT OF LOCAL INSTITUTION PROGRAMS
Strengthening local institutions - had pretty well known by the name of the NGO Development Program - aims to improve the managerial capacity of the organization and community development programs at institutions in various regions which is considered to have a strong commitment in community service through the help of management reform and stimulants sub-project funds. YIS has assisted approximately 75 local NGOs in various regions in Indonesia. Institutions (NGO) partners who had accompanied such as Pelpem GKPS Siantar, YPD Palembang, YSKM Pontianak, YKM Tenggarong, YPPSE Banjarnegara, TP4MB Surakarta, YKP Surakarta, YLWD Surabaya, Yayasan Haumeni So’e NTT, LIPKEM Makasar, YTS Toraja, YDPM Mamasa, Yayasan PEKA Menado, Yayasan Siwa Lima Maluku, YBMD Tual, Y Mulia Wamena, PKBI Jayapura, and BPSE-YSA Merauke.
ENVIRONMENTAL AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS
This program aims to increase farmers incomes by reducing dependence on fertilizers and pesticides an-organic. In addition, the program also directs the groups efforts to diversify the local potential, based in rural areas, such as the development of livestock sector, fisheries, provision of organic fertilizers and pesticides independently, and processing of agricultural products. This program is still in its early stages, and developed in Karanganyar and Klaten (Central Java).
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND PEACE EDUCATION PROGRAMS
YIS research in three areas namely Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi; Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi; and Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur concluded heterogeneity is not understood as a diverse community together, but as a competitive arena of struggle over local assets with the result that the emergence of tensions between groups and the marginalization of certain communities. This is what encouraged YIS to develop Conflict Management dan Peace Development programs in the third area.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMS
YIS realize that quality human resources is the main asset development. Since the beginning of its sufficiency, YIS regularly conducting various types of training aimed at business partners and other agencies that have community development programs. Training is conducted such as Management Based Organization Development Training, Project Planning, Non Profit Organization (NGO) Management Training, Micro Credit Management, Training of Trainers (ToT), Training Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation, and other trainings related to NGO activities.
